ICYMI - President von der Leyen launches Global Energy Transition Forum in Davos, New Real Estate vacancy at Northwest Fund in Alaska, and UK Development Consent decisions have been announced.
In today’s newsletter, Energy & Infrastructure Moves has learned via sources at FIN News of a vacant role: Director of Real Estate which is being advertised by Northwest Fund. The position will report to Deputy CIO of Private Markets Allen Waldrop and CIO Marcus Frampton.
Also, on the penultimate day in Davos this Thursday, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced the launch of the new Global Energy Transition Forum with the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, Fatih Birol.
The Global Energy Transition Forum brings together partners from across the world, from Brazil, Canada, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to Kenya, Peru, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and many others, as well as companies and investors, who all share the same objective: maintaining the momentum on the clean energy transition, delivering flagship projects, and unlocking more investment.
In other news, the West Burton Solar Project and Heckington Fen Solar Park were each granted development consent on Friday by Ed Miliband, the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero.
The decision, the recommendation made by the Examining Authority to the Secretary of State for Energy Security & Net Zero, and the evidence considered by the Examining Authority in reaching its recommendation are publicly available on the project pages of the National Infrastructure Planning website.
