In today’s newsletter, Energy & Infrastructure Moves has learned of a new senior leadership appointment at the leading specialty finance firm, Ares Capital Corporation (NASDAQ: ARCC) (“Ares Capital”) an externally managed subsidiary of the Ares Management Corporation (NYSE: ARES), according to a BusinessWire press release published on Wednesday.

Ares Capital’s Co-President Kort Schnabel will assume the new role of Chief Executive Officer, commencing April 30, 2025. The leadership change will also see Kipp deVee, Ares Capital’s current CEO stay on as a member of the Board of Directors. Jim Miller, appointed Co-President of Ares Capital in October 2024, will continue as the Company’s sole President.

In other news, Energy & Infrastructure Moves has learned of the announcement of Irvinder Goodhew as Managing Director for UK Sectors at CBRE, effective March 10, 2025. Goodhew will succeed Guy Holden, who after nine years working with the firm, is retiring.

Ms. Goodhew will be joining CBRE from Alvarez & Marsal, where she is currently a Managing Director in the Corporate Transformation Group. She has also been a Non-Executive Director at British Land for four years, a position she will step down from on March 1, 2025, before joining the company.

Finally, Energy & Infrastructure Moves can reveal details of a fantastic vacancy being advertised by the alternative asset manager, Norges Bank IM. The Global Head of Real Estate position is reporting directly to the Co-CIOs for Active Strategies at Norges. The successful applicant will be based in London.
