ICYMI - CBRE appoints new Head of A&T Office Bulgaria, DLA Piper poaches Joe Conder as a Partner in its Real Estate practice, and D2 Asset Management adds David Brickman as President of Residential
In today’s newsletter, DLA Piper strengthened its UK Real Estate team on Wednesday with the appointment of Joe Conder as Partner in its London office, with an expected start date of February 10, 2025. Previously he was a Partner at Mayer Brown, Goodwin Procter, where he helped to establish the firm's Real Estate offering, and Linklaters.
Mr Condor’s practice is in the transactional Real Estate space, advising Private Equity in particular. He has focussed on a range of aspects in this area, representing international funds in the US, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East in their purchases of high-end assets in London and further afield.
Energy & Infrastructure Moves can also confirm that the world-leading commercial real estate advisory firm, CBRE, has announced the appointment of Hristo Karakostov as Head of the Advisory & Transactions Office Services Department for Bulgaria, within its Southeast Europe (SEE) office. Mr. Karakostov brings a decade of experience in office consultancy services. He joined CBRE from Colliers International Bulgaria, where he was Manager, Office Services.
Furthermore, in case you missed it - Energy & Infrastructure Moves can also reveal that UK law firm TLT has expanded its future energy and infrastructure planning capabilities by appointing a new team of 29 lawyers, the award-winning national law firm announced Tuesday. The new joiners will be based in the firm’s London office, with the first arrivals starting in February and March.

Finally, D2 Asset Management has appointed David Brickman as President of Residential Real Estate. Brickman brings decades of finance and investment experience across residential real estate to D2. He most recently served as founding CEO of NewPoint Real Estate Capital, a real estate finance company focused on the multifamily, residential, and healthcare markets, and one of the fastest-growing commercial real estate finance firms in the U.S., from 2021 to 2024.
Before NewPoint, Brickman was CEO of Freddie Mac, one of the nation's largest providers of mortgage financing, where he spent over 21 years.
