ICYMI - Mary Craddock joins Greystar Europe as Managing Director of Portfolio Management, and BDT & MSD appoints Goldman Sachs' Greg Olafson as Co-Head of Global Credit
In today’s newsletter, Energy and Infrastructure Moves has learned that American merchant bank BDT & MSD, on Wednesday, announced Greg Olafson as its new President, Co-Head of Global Credit & Co-Chief Investment Officer. Greg will join as a member of the senior leadership team this coming July, reporting to Byron Trott, Chairman, Co-Chief Executive Officer & Co-Chief Investment Officer, and Gregg Lemkau, Co-Chief Executive Officer.
Olafson joins BDT & MSD from The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., where he served as Global Head of Private Credit, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, managing approximately $130 billion in assets. In his new role, Greg will draw on his years of experience to oversee BDT & MSD's Private Credit strategies alongside Rob Platek, Co-Head of Global Credit, who will transition to the role of Chairman of Global Credit at the end of the year.
In addition, Olafson will jointly lead investment decisions for the firm's flagship Private Capital funds alongside Trott and Dan Jester, President & Co-Chief Investment Officer.
In other news, Energy and Infrastructure Moves has also learned that Greystar Partners have appointed Mary Craddock as a European-focused Managing Director. Craddock, who was Managing Director at Lapithus Management LLP where she developed and built the investment and asset management strategy for the Apollo European Core Plus real estate platform, will oversee Greystar’s relationships with its joint venture partners in Europe with the task of driving growth and returns. The firm were unavailable for further comment.
